Public Protection Measures in Fire Accidents
Fire accidents refer to such disasters caused by fire flaming out of control in time or space. Among all disasters, fire is one of the most common disasters that endanger the public safety. With the development of society and growth of social wealth, the potential and hazardousness of fire accidents also increase.
When severe fire accidents occur, following measures for public protection are adopted: First, arrange the public to evacuate. Inform the trapped correct means of escape via broadcasting, organize, direct and help the trapped to evacuate the fire scenes in correct ways. Second, transfer the public to safer areas. When the fire might spread, arrange the public in dangerous areas to transfer to safer areas. Third, arrange temporary shelters. For those affected by fire, lost homes or unable to return home temporarily, arrange temporary shelters for them, including temporary houses, stabilize emotions of the public, provide foods, drinking water, clothes and other necessary articles, together with medical services, and carry out health epidemic prevention works etc.
