Injuries Emergency Treatment
Dog Bites
Treat the wounds as soon as possible and within no later than 2 hours after injury. Take off or rip the clothes of wounded area quickly, rinse the wounds with large amounts of water to ensure the wounds rinsed thoroughly within 3 to 5 minutes. The rinse solutions include: soap water, physiological saline, oxydol etc. After rinsing the wounds thoroughly, hurry and go to the hospital (or hygienic and anti-epidemic stations) as fast as possible (within no later than 24 hours) to have an injection against rabies and accept further treatments to the wounds. If the bites are serious or the wounds are adjacent to head, have an injection of anti-rabies serum while injecting rabies vaccine.
Trample Injuries
When encountering chaos, try to avoid the crowd, and go to places with less people or in a different direction. When tumbling incautiously, embrace your head with hands, elbows facing outward to protect lungs and heart against being squeezed. If you are squeezed on the ground and can not stand up, the crowds trample on your body, at this time, use your hands to hold the back side of head with elbows supporting on the ground to make the chest off the ground slightly, do not change your position even if the elbows are bleeding.
Crush Injuries
When being crushed and covered up, try to climb out of the ruins. The hands and toes may be swollen in blackish purple after being injured, at this time, apply cold water immediately to compress the wounds to reduce bleeding and pains. If you want to remove the hematocele under the nails, use sewing needles or clips burnt red upright onto the wounded finger (tow) nails, burn the nails through slightly and squeeze the hematocele. If you feel the internal organs are wounded, call emergency doctors for treatment.
Surviving Fire Accidents
Most people died in fire die of smokes caused by fire. Therefore, survival of fire accidents is to try to alleviate smoke injuries in fire. First, pour or spray large quantities of water on the ground to make the place you are staying at insusceptible to fire. When discovering other rooms and floors catch on fire, do not open your door, and close the windows connected to the fire scenes, and seal the door cracks with wet sheets, clothes and other materials to prevent smoke entry and fire spread. Use wet towels to cover your mouth and nose against smoke. This can help you rush out of the fire scene even though it can not prevent breathing in CO. Keep your head lower, because the lower positions have less smoke. If you鈥檙e waiting for rescue, lie on the ground, when escaping, try to bend your waist or crawl out. The best way is to use respiratory protection equipments, such as breathing masks, respirators, which can protect you for over 30 minutes.
Self-aids:
1. Find the water source, wrap your body and seal door cracks with wet clothes and bedclothes, and spray water to lower the temperature.
2. Roll over on the floor directly or use wet clothes to cover your body to extinguish the fire when your body catches on fire.
3. Do not shout in fire to prevent respiratory tract burns.
4. Do not extinguish the fire with hands directly to prevent burns of hands.
