How to Safely Use Air Conditioner in Winter Season
1) An exclusive line for A/C is required with a circuit breaker or an air switch. The use of power lead and fuse shall comply with the related specification and no alteration is allowed.
2) To avoid electric leakage due to damage in insulator, it is advisable to install a leakage protector, when condition allows, with a current range from 15 to 30 mA and a breaking time less than 0.1 sec.
3) Turn the A/C on and off by using the switch, not by plugging or unplugging. Otherwise, it will harm the A/C control system or injure people. And, if the A/C is always kept at stand-by mode, it will consume power and is subject to lightning strike.
4) Place the plug firmly into the socket or otherwise it may lead to poor contact or damage of the A/C.
5) When the capacity of the electric meter is insufficient, expand it without any expectation of fluke so as to protect the line from overload which may then lead to fire accident.
6) Read the Operation Instructions carefully, follow the operation rules and do not mishandle the keys on a remote controller.
7) Do not try to re-start old style A/C in less than 3 minutes after the shut-down. Or otherwise, it may damage the compressor. There is a protection circuit furnished in newly manufactured A/C to prevent it from re-starting in less than 3 minutes.
8) Once an abnormal noise is heard, switch off the A/C and cut off the power immediately. Call service station or technicians to conduct on-site repair.
9) No spraying of insecticide or other volatile liquid onto the A/C when it is running or otherwise it may cause electric leakage and fire accident.
10) When the rated work voltage is over 240V, for safety, it鈥檚 advisable to stop the running of A/C. On the other hand, when the voltage is lower than the rated value, it shall be stopped immediately as well to avoid the damage of the compressor.
